HISTORY OF AAIM

AAIM started with being named Acute Medicine and was the brainchild of the late Datuk Dr Jeyaindran Sinnadurai, retired Deputy Director General of Health. There was a need for doctors who were able to manage acutely complex and ill patients.

The AIM intake started in 2009 with the pioneer batch. The pioneer group were initially stationed at HKL. The fledgeling fraternity aims to have one AAIM physician for every major hospital in the country.
